Mo Blessings

Ok, so it's about time I started really blogging and not just posting adorable pics of my sweet lil ShayBird. I'll start by telling you the best thing that's happened to the Mo family since Shay's birth. Mo has been tirelessly searching for a new job, and I mean tirelessly searching for months with no luck. Last week we were hit with a blow to our finances, some budgeting issues on our part and a mistake on our overdraft protection plan by the bank put us in a really bad predicament. I've never seen Mo so distraught, we've had financial problems just like everyone else but this was the worst its ever been. We stood in the kitchen together in silence, on the brink of tears he said "what are we going to do! why is this happening to us!" I immediately grabbed a piece of paper and said "we need to pray"...he didn't respond and just walked away. I tried not to feel discouraged and started writing down our prayer requests. I wrote very specifically 1) Please provide a great paying job for Mo to start asap 2) Our loan modification to be processed on our house 3) Provide sufficient funds for our new hospital bills and property taxes. I posted the paper on the fridge and prayed. That night we got into bed and Mo brought the paper in and said "Let's pray." Mind you we both have our own spiritual walk with God but we haven't prayed together as a family in...forever. We prayed a simple prayer and asked God for the things on our list and thanked him for bringing Shay into the world. Within 3 days Mo was in an interview for a sales job and was offered the position!! Then, one trip to the bank and a conversation with the manager, are account was replenished. Haha how freakin cool is that! I'll keep you posted on the other 2 requests, it's only a matter of time... Sometimes it just takes asking, God already knows what we need but he wants us to come to him and simply ask. The answer might not be what we expect, but there is always an answer eventually. Are you praying yet, do it now!
